Welcome aboard Appledore
III, a 62-foot traditional topsail schooner, designed by the legendary Bud McIntosh
and built in 1984 by Herb and Doris Smith in Littleton, New Hampshire. She has
recently returned from her second circumnavigation to her home port of Rockport,
Massachusetts.
Our U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captains and trained crew will help make your
cruise a safe, comfortable and unique sailing experience in Sandy Bay. Appledore
III has a full liquor license with a cash bar serving a variety of beverages.
Reservations are not required, but are strongly recommended on summer weekends
and for sunset cruises. Call to let us know when you want to come and how many
people are in your party. We will hold reservations until fifteen minutes before
sailing.
There is a marine head (restroom) on board. It is below decks, accessed by descending
a ladder, so persons with limited mobility may wish to use public facilities
available locally, prior to boarding.
Minimum of eight, maximum of twenty-five passengers total for a trip.
Appledore III is also available for private charters, group outings, parties
and special events. Please contact us for further information.
Don’t forget to visit our Ship’s Store before or after your trip.
Take part of the memory away with you!
